I paid $165 for one on eBay a couple of years ago. It was in mint
condition, no signs of use except for a few wear marks on the mount
itself. It does not have original caps, but I found an original case (with
a partially removed sticker on it) in the local shop.
I later found that somebody had made a minor modification to the lens mount
that allows for the use of matrixed metering with newer bodies, so the lens
is a bit of a curiosity. however, along with the M 40 f2.8, this is one of
my least used lenses. Too slow at f4 for everyday use and the 0.5 macro
magnification, while suitable for many situations, is less than ideal. I
picked up a Sigma 50mm f2.8 EX macro that is quite good optically, goes to
1:1, and cost only $150 used, in like new condition. The 'zen' metal
finish and gold trim is a bit cheesy though.
