It was a lovely red sunset (sun setting to the right-hand side of the car) with a lovely red rainbow in front of the car (first time I had seen a rainbow in anything other than normal colours). We were in rather a hurry, driving from Seattle to Portland for a wedding the next day. While the husband drove, I sulked in the passenger seat -- until I got distracted by the fact that I could see all these reflections. This is a photo of the passenger side mirror, and it shows the sunset reflected off the windows on the car as well as the sunset behind the car. Exposed for the sunset (er, spot metered), the camera blacked out the side mirror frame...
