Nah, it is true. For one thing autoexposure changes the exposure with every change of background where a human would not touch it. Now you can override that but it is just one more step in the direction of letting machines run you instead of you running them. I do like my little digicam, but the fact I have to fight it instead of it working with me is a bummer. Now if I could get a fully-manual-old-style-controls version I would probably be willing to sell Franks bike to buy it.
