With automobiles that's not really true, in terms of percentage of
income it they cost the same or more on average over the past 30 years
which includes the major transition from rear wheel to front wheel
drive. I'll leave it to the reader to check the historical data.
Getting back to cameras if Pentax is going to keep backward
compatibility, in anything other than name only, they can't build an all
electronic lens mount. If they do they might as well abandon the K
mount entirely and design a new mount or go with the 4/3 system.
