Don't want to be racist or ethnocentrist or anything, but population will continue to grow a great deal in the US if people of Hispanic descent and other descents continue to not use birth control of any kind and believe in large families.
The US is overpopulated already and will continue to be so for a long, long time. World infrastructure does not led to equitably distributed resources which is why infrastructure cannot be factored into an overpopulation equation in any meaningful way.
