About a decade ago there was a British TV programme, where they took a
business "guru" around some companies that might be considered to
benefit from ihs advice. He went to a Polish glass company that was
selling all the handmade glass it could make (not very much) but had
warehouses full of unsold machine made stuff that it was continuing to
churn out. His advice - "Concentrate on making the stuff that sells".

He went to Morgan, where everything is batch made, the individual cars
moving from chassis shop to body shop to fitting bays for engine and
electrics. His (precis'd) advice - "Scrap the factory, build a
production line and swamp the market".

The response of the MD of this family owned company - "We have a seven
year waiting list for everything we make. **** off."

The company is currently running a racer in GT cars that has running boards.

I prefer the three wheelers myself. If you want difficult mechanicing,
try setting up the rear drive/suspension on one of those.
