Hi Francis, That is my travel combo, DA16-45 and DA50-200. The 16-45 is highly regarded and the image quality approaches those of primes; it's not without flaws though, wide open it's acceptably sharp in the center and a bit soft towards the edges, stop down slightly and you get *extra crisp* images out of this lens. :-)
I'm not big on consumer telezooms in the 50/55/70/80-200/210/300mm range but the DA50-200 is more than acceptable, even wide open it's good enough for holiday shooting, add it's small size and it's light weight to the mix and you get a winner. I usually use this lens in bright daylight (it's a great summer lens) stopped down to F8, doesn't disappoint me. For evening/night shooting, this lens is almost worthless without a tripod. Have fun with your new lenses! -Asad Francis Alviar wrote: >Hi all, > >Just thought I'd ask the collective what their opinion >is on these two lenses: > >DA 16-45mm f/4 >DA 50-200mm f/4-5.6 > >I have recently purchased these two lenses and want to >know how their performance is and what to expect. >Would these two make a good travel combo?
