I don't know how true this is, but I have heard that plumbers in England can pretty much charge whatever they want, some making 1/4 million pounds a year. The tradesmen don't seem to have a lot of stress in their lives either, which is more than I can say for the desk jockeys that I know. They are also in better physical condition, and don't have to buy memberships at the gym to stay in shape.
