D. Glenn Arthur Jr., "Curry" I find this photo interesting in that the light source is minimal and unusual, but the overall result does not please me aesthetically. I know that at least one other commentator has recognized considerable artistic merit in the image, but I can't help but be distracted by an overall softness and what appears to be some dirt on the negative. Again, however, the photograph does demonstrate effective use of available light and very little light at that. I might like it more if the subject were somewhat less ordinary.
