I find that myAA lithiums last long enough in the *istD that I can't remember how old they are. So last time I changed them, I recorded the frame count for each camera. That was in February. Today, one camera indicated that the batteries were almost gone. They lasted 2100 frames. That's with the battery grip. I'm very pleased with that much battery life. I believe I'm paying just over a buck each for the batteries now when I buy them in quantities of 16 or more from Battery Central. I'm not sure about that price, but I'll be buying another 16 this week, so if anyone cares, I'll let you know. Paul
