The cut off top limbs haven't bothered me. Possibly because I've always
been extremely pleased with the position of the geese relative to the
tree and the bottom of the frame. This is full frame (top and bottom)
the bottom of which just barely clears the grassy slope at the tree's
base. Had I pulled back, I'd have complicated the scene and reduced the
size of the geese. 
Feel so lucky to have gotten the camera accidentally positioned exactly
where I would have chosen had I been able to position the geese as
decoys. Shot a couple more frames, but nothing. The scene had come
apart.
