Not that I've found, unfortunately. I've tried several compacts, the most recent of which was the Panasonic LX1. The LX1 made excellent photos but I found it just too insensitive and too awkward in my hands to be satisfying, so I sold it. For reasons similar to yours, I've decided to try again. This time I'm trying the Fuji F30, from which I've seen very good quality results at ISO 400-800. It's fast and responsive, and just about the same size as the Minox 35GT-E was. It only stores JPEGs but if its sensitivity and responsiveness meets my needs I can live with that. It is available for about $340 plus the cost of (ugh!) xD storage card ... I ordered it with just one 1G card, that's about 250 max resolution/quality photos and should prove enough for my purposes.
