Nobody is in any doubt that it will be at least as good as the K100D,
which is already a step up from the DL.

Most of the angst comes from *ist-D shooters like myself - people for
whom all the later variants (DS, DL, DS2, DL2, K100D, K110D) have too
many drawbacks to be considered as *ist-D replacements, even though
the limitations of the D (small, slow buffer; tiny LCD screen, etc.)
become more and more apparent as technology advances.

I don't think you'll find many people here who think that using the
extra MP simply as an excuse to pay less attention to composition while
shooting is a good idea.  While I'm not opposed to cropping, I think
that having to crop half an image away means I'm using the wrong lens.
