Jack, Just about all your posted images look over sharpened to me - some grossly so. See your optometrist, check your monitor, try not to work when you're tired. Speaking for myself, when I work late into the evening, my ability to focus well and get good quality sharpening practically disappears. Pics that I view after midnight look fine until I view them after a few hours of sleep.
