Innovation in the sense that they would have produced a more competitive product as opposed to variations of the same old thing.
It actually strikes me as very very odd, that if Pentax has some earth-shattering 'secret up it's sleeve' with the K10D, that they have not pre-announced it to the world in the hopes of grabbing some of those Sony sales.
