As I mentioned in a previous post, embargoes are basically worthless unless they are for less than 36 hours. If I'm a big camera company and I have some tasty gear that will be ready in a month, but the competition is releasing theirs, I'm going to issue an embargoed press release right away. It will give out just enough detail to keep things juicy, without spoiling any last minute changes. I know it will seep out and spread, that's why I'm issuing it. If I didn't want anyone to know, I simply wouldn't issue it! Duh! People here don't understand how companies attempt to use the media for their own purposes. Nothing happens by accident these days, believe me! -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ||=====| http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
