Isn't that what high speed sync is for? Obviously, you have to have the proper flash gun. > > Here's one genuine annoyance with the ist-D I'd like to see fixed: > I really like how it's so easy to switch from normal shooting to > 2-second mirror pre-fire with two touches of a top panel button. > (Michael Reichmann has complained loudly about having to go into menus > to do so on his Canons). The *ist has this, too. I've never bothered to get a cable or remote for it. Have you ever noticed vibration being a problem with the 2 second pre-fire? I can't imagine there's much, if any, vibration after the camera's had a couple seconds to settle when mounted on a decent tripod. > > BTW: I have an MZ-S camera strap on my ist-D because it has the little > pocket for the infrared remote: I *always* have my IR remote with me I have one on the MX. I use the pocket for the viewfinder cap. Very handy. Since obtaining the strap (thanks to Charles Braswell!) I haven't lost a single viewfinder cap. -- Scott Loveless http://www.twosixteen.com Shoot more film! -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
