I don't think the "missed focus" is a big issue. It's a nice shot, which emphasizes the small size of the baby compared to the hand. I have seen cover shots less sharp than this.
The baby will be very pleased to own this shot in 25 years time. Believe me, I know: My 27 year old daughter was here this Friday with my youngest grand daughter - who is about the same age as the baby in your shot.
