I don't use greater than 135mm focal length very often, but I did test the FA77 with the Pentax-A Rear Converter 2x-S as I felt it a sensible option to carry. You lose autofocus, that's not significant to me. It works quite well. There's little CA and good sharpness, only a minor degradation of the FA77 is in evidence.
