I've done some shots with the MF Tamron (Adaptall) SP 90mm macro lens. IMO it is at it's best at very close range. That's good, because it has a very short min focus distance - unlike my SMC-A 35-105mm: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bladt/sets/72157594265416701/
Did I mention that the lens is for sale? So is the SP 2c Teleconverter. It performs like an A-lens if fitted with an Adaptall II (Pentax) adapter.
