September 11th, 2001 was a beautiful here in upstate New York. When I woke up, the sun was shining, the sky was a beautiful blue, and there was just a hint of crispness in the air, to signal that autumn was on its way. I woke up, showered, and got in my car to drive to work. As I was driving, I remember thinking about how beautiful the sky was that day.
I got to work just after 9 AM. The day got considerably stormier not very long after that. But that had nothing to do with the weather. September 11th, 2006 dawned in an almost identical way. This picture was taken out of my office window at lunchtime today.
