They are a little-known jewel in the heart of a big city. One of the great things about them (which I failed to photograph) is that they are a microcosm of modern London. Against the backdrop of typical, cliched Victorian canal works, locks, painted narrowboats, swans and submerged supermarket trolleys I saw a group of Muslim women veiled head-to-toe in black (on a bright sunshiny day) with metal grills across their eyes, sitting around having a picnic with their very Western-looking children. Along the towpath came a family of Orhodox Jews, also dressed top-to-toe in black, with hair in ringlets, and the wife wearing a wig. And you know what? They didn't try to kill each other or blow anyone up. Regards, Bob -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
