The PZ for that particular lens was not quite useful but it did not bother me to have it available. Actually, looking back, I have all PZ lenses including 28-120 and 70-200 (consumer zooms). I sold them all. If you do not use the PZ function, it only adds up the weight and perhaps the diameter (and money :-).
