Pretty much why i like the feature Mark. I have  a set of jpegs for  
quick view and forward to a magazine. Then i have the option of  
adjusting what i want, via Raw files.I do my band shots this way, as  
well as GFM shots.

My Nikons put both files in one folder. Not sure what the K10 will do.
