Knock on wood, my ebay feedback total is up to 89 and I haven't had a
bad experience yet. A couple of times I didn't get exactly what I
expected, but it was exactly what they described. That taught me to
read the descriptions a little closer and with a little less wishful
thinking.

I bought a couple of small items on one occasion that didn't match the
description and the seller told me to keep them and returned my money.
I also sold a Sony camcorder that I thought worked for $100 that the
buyer reported needed $145 in repairs. I told her to send the
ac-adapter/charger back and junk the rest. I returned her money
including shipping.

I have found a little honesty and good-faith goes a long way. Of
course it helps if you read the feedback. I also avoid new buyers and
sellers as much as possible. A zero or sunglasses behind their user
name makes me run backwards. I would prefer that a buyer accepts
PayPal or Billpoint (it expedites matters a lot), but I don't mind
sending money orders. Maybe one day I will get burned, but until then,
I will keep a watchful eye and trust my fellow man.
