Yes, interesting observations, I think that it shouldn't be too long until the other manufacturers come on line and offer DNG, it's just gaining too much momentum to ignore. I applaud Pentax for being so forward on its thinking in this matter though they had little choice if they wanted to start featuring as a viable choice given that PEF is one of the least well supported RAW formats in third party imaging software. What I would like to see eventually is the dropping of the RAW term and the wider adoption of DNG which should be promoted as the digital negative, I think then lots more people would be able to identify with RAW and its position as a un-processed file type. -- Rob Studdert HURSTVILLE AUSTRALIA Tel +61-2-9554-4110 UTC(GMT) +10 Hours [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~distudio//publications/ Pentax user since 1986, PDMLer since 1998 -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
