To me, this is far more serious than losing use of the aperture ring. Almost all of my indoor flash photography is done with the wireless 360 bounced and the RTF providing a little fill to avoid shadow cast. This means I can bounce the 360 off the most appropriate surface because I can point it in any direction (I hand hold it), and I don't have to mess around if I change the orientation of the camera etc. I usually only mount the 360 on the shoe when I need more range from it.
I am not gonna use 2 flashes because the whole thing just gets too cumbersome then, and people will think I am even more mad than at present...! Lack of CF support annoyed me a little, but I could see the sense in it. Lack of AA support seriously annoys me, but if that is the price for the other features then I guess I have to live with it. I am not sure I can accept the flash limitation though - this is a serious issue for me, and a really stupid move on Pentaxes part. One of the best loved features on their cameras of late, and one which helped enormously to overcome the hassle of having to go P-TTL. NOT HAPPY!!! A: Wireless photographing is possible by the fact that 2 AF540FGZ or AF360FGZ are used. With the built-in Strobo wireless speed light photography is not possible." Why? It was quite useful. Now you have to have two dedicated flashes to have wireless... If they could implement this functionality in low end analog bodies like MZ-6 or *ist and in *istD, why they couldn't in their newest flagship??? For me it's a one of the biggest ommisions in otherwise excellent camera.
