Don't worry, Mark, children admire me. 

Just today I found myself among a group of boys about 10 years old
cycling down the big hill in Greenwich Park. They were pedalling like
Billy Whiz to get down as fast as they could, while I freewheeled
down. I still got down there first :o) At the bottom of the hill one
of them looked up at me admiringly and said "You're really fast,
mister".

I gave him the distal phalanges up.
