If the local cops in Champaign aren't interested in pursuing things for you,
perhaps the phone numbers listed below might be of some help. I notice that
while the main office for the US Attorney's Office is in Springfield, there
is a district office in Urbana (right on the other side of Lincoln Ave. from
Champaign, if I remember correctly). Seems likely that they'd have a
computer crimes division at one of these locations, given UIUC's importance
in the development of the Internet.
