I have been playing with the R72 Filter and my istDL. I don't like the color results so I convert to greyscale and print. I find that I get my best results by placing the camera on a tripod, doing a custom white balance (with filter in place!), shoot at 800 or 1600, and use f8 or smaller if possible. I have found that if I focus and compose without the filter, when I place the filter and shoot, the camera actually refocuses.
