I recently got an Epson R220 for my wife & have been thoroughly impressed
with it. I paid $99.00 USD for it. I've been using a 1997 Epson Stylus Photo
(cost $300 in 97) & was very happy with it. The R220 exhibits less banding
than the original Stylus Photo. A full set of replacement inks cost almost
as much as the printer itself which comes with all the inks.
I don't think you can go wrong if you want a cheap photo quality printer.
