Well, if the A2 somewhat surprised you by how good it was (compared to
other EVFs) then I wonder what are like LOL.

I agree with you that the optical VF does indeed induce quite much in
the desing of SLRs. That sais Olympus did quite a novelty a couple of
months ago. Good or not, a matter of taste but at least they tried
something different.

IMO, *nothing* will ever come to the heel of an optical VF. But it
could be useful as an "also possible" option. I think a well done live
screen view as Olympus did (far from ideal I know) would be cool. But
really, judging focus with any kind of screen is really difficult for
me. As soon as I see pixels, I'm lost. There's no pixel on my optical
viewfinder (fortunately).

I don't beleive in an SLR with an EVF. But an SLR with OVF and a nice
live screen preview would be welcome.
