55mm looks indeed destined to become the new "normal" focal lenght for D645.
With a shift in "normality" from 75mm to 55mm, would you need to add
more than one lens on the wide side?

But I see what you mean. I have the 35mm for the 645, but would also
desire something even wider with a reduced-size sensor. To me, the
main problem is that such a lens does not exist, and is not even on
the 2007 roadmap. :-(
