Haven't ordered one yet. I'm in the middle of a lens transaction. I have also decided to invest in a device that hopefully will shrink my electricity bill. A have no idea on how to translate the name of the device, it's a varmepumpe. Perhaps some of our other Norwegian friends can assist me? This investment will cost me about the same amount as a K10D.
So, at the moment I can only look forward to see image samples from the K10D. But, a K10D is somewhere in my horizon ;-) (assuming it copes with low light situations) Tim Mostly harmless (just plain Norwegian) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Boris Liberman Sent: 24. september 2006 18:50 To: Pentax-Discuss Mail List Subject: Re: PESO - Coronmant (b&h) Hi! > http://www.photosight.org/photo.php?photoid=43678&refid=999&ref=author > The link is to a colour version. I regret publishing the colour version :-( I think that color version can be improved by applying mild S-curve in photoshop to boost the contrast. > I had a tough time converting it without getting a lot of noise in the sky. Tim, I think that even as good a lens as Tamron 300/2.8 is best closed down just a bit. Another point - applying -1Ev to 800 ISO is like asking for noise. Obviously you know all that, but if you had proper tripod, which I know you did, why didn't you try slightly longer exposure time with f/3.5 or even f/4 and 400 ISO? Was it windy? > Gee!
