I've only heard (read) rumours, but I think Cotty has a tensed relation with
these birds.

My theory is that Frank kind of mirrors himself in the Canada geese, and
Cotty in the cormorant. This theory is based on the movement pattern or body
language of the birds.
I can imagine Frank moving his arms up and down rapidly and making peculiar
noises, and Cotty hanging his arms up while tilting his neck in odd
positions.

Those who have met them in person may confirm or deny the reliability of the
theory.

Some may consider this post mean spirited, but it's just speculations based
on known facts and mail list field observations.

This is not a Cotty friendly picture ;-)
Others with coronmant allergy are recommended to stay away too.

The link is to a colour version. After some conciderations I decided to
go for a b&w version. If you scroll down a bit, you will find a link
to the b&w. I regret publishing the colour version :-(

This is nice, Tim. A normal exposure would have been pretty
uninteresting, but making it a silhouette makes the picture.

I didn't know that Cotty had something against cormorants. Is it like
Frank and Canada Geese?
