Joe,

Go to newegg and read the reviews of the various cards.

Godfrey and I here on this list have found them to be reliable. Neither of
us jump into things and make our purchases lightly. I've know about
Transcend for several years, ever since my gf bought a 40X CF card for one
of her cameras. FWIW, I am very cautious and conservative wrt to _any_
purchase I make. I read reviews, check what other people are using, and
move slowly. At this point I would buy nothing but Transcend based on
price/quality/performance.

I have used Lexar, SanDisk, IO, and Sony at various times. Right now
Transcend seems to be the best value from a known source.

If it makes you comfortable to spend 3X the price to have a Lexar, then you
should buy a Lexar. However, IMO, you'd be shortchanging yourself if you
didn't buy at least one Transcend and test it yourself.

Go to the Transcend web site - http://www.transcendusa.com/ you'll see that
this is no fly-by-night outfit. They've been around a while, and make a
number of fine products. This is not a company that slaps their label on a
generic card made in Oooga-booga land.
