Yeah, we see this often. Sellers "misreading" the maximum aperture.
BTW: This lens is probably amazingly good/good value for money. At least the
M-vesion was.

I think this is a case of a little knowledge being a dangerous thing.

Even if it were the real McCoy, it's priced about GBP100 too high.
