Hot shoe to PC adaptors are still sold new, though i don't know if Pentax makes one or not. I suspect the 4P/5P adaptors are for equipment that is no longer produced, so the adaptors are also redundant from their POV. I'm made of sugar, so I don't go out in the rain anyway.
