Recently someone posted that their local minilabs tended to print with too
much magenta and too light. Today at work I tried setting our printer to -1
"stop" magenta and +1 "stop" dark. The results were fantastic! Caucasian
skin tones much more natural and saturation increased noticeably. Thanks
for the tip.
Other things I learned today:
Polaroid ISO 400 print film was read by our printer as Fuji Superia 400. I
was under the impression that Polaroid film was manufactured by Ferrania
(Imation).
Agfa Vista 400 printed as per above (and using the Optima 400 channel, since
our printer has no channel for Vista) is very close in saturation to the now
discontinued Agfa Ultra 50.
