Apart from the RAM (I recently upgraded my notebook from 512MB to the 1GB maximum for this model) I don't see anything to prevent it being useful for at least five (and more likely ten) years. We're well past the days when last year's machine was only useful as a doorstop - in fact both my notebook and our main home machine are over three years old, and are still perfectly usable (even with 'only' a 400MHz DDR memory subsystem). Only one internal hardrive isn't really much of an issue, either - for all but the most demanding tasks external USB2 or firewire drives are fine. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
