I can't be much help, as my 6x7 300mm is sitting in my closet too. I found a good deal on a used 6x7->K mount adaptor, and also have a few K-mount Pentaxes. But I have not yet used the adaptor... though if I ever have a yen to use a 300mm lens (on either format), well, there they are. Unused versatility. I use my 6x7 gear quite a lot, but mostly with normal to wide lenses.
The K adaptor does not retain diaphragm automation, while I believe the 6x7->645 does. That adaptor could be useful in the event of a P645D.
