This is currently unnknown. There is what looks like a detailed battery 
readout option (including battery depletion shown independantly for the 
grip and body) but that could be just the old-fashioned voltage state 
readout.

Rumour does have it that the battery is nothing more than a rebranded 
Info-Lithium. We won't know for sure until the camera starts showing up 
in the hands of curious folks.
