I think they might be some sort of automatic camera that was
set up in
one or two places... 

Of the ones I looked at - every one looked pretty dazed or
unhappy -
I'm guessing they really are related the tone of the Nation
after
the shooting..  possibly the header "Novermber-December
1963" was a
way of not hitting the viewer over the head with it.

At any rate, I'd be surprised if there were an actual
photographer 
clicking away on the street... Almost as if it were a
surveillance
device in a way.
