L brackets not tied to any specific QR plate?

I'm getting tired of my cork Slik 300 DX quick release plates
slipping on vertical.  Anyone know of an L bracket that just
has standard camera threads in it?  I could screw a couple
of my Slik plates in it and move to vertical without flopping
the pan-tilt over to the left....
