Heh, I wish I could get a 24" flat panel past my planning department. :-(

I agree with Godfrey about the Samsungs. They tend to be very nice
monitors. The Dell flat panels, at least the higher end ones, are also
very nice.

If your video card doesn't have a DVI output, be sure to add one that
does to the shopping list. For doing casual photoshop work, a $40 card
will work as well as a $400 card. The important part is the DVI
connector, and the ability to drive your monitor at its optimum
resolution (probably 1920x1200 pixels for a wide-screen 24" LCD). LCD
monitors will show visible artifacts when run at lower resolutions
than their optimum (maximum) resolution, and feeding the the LCD with
a digital signal takes out a source of noise and calibration
inaccuracy.
