My personal preference is also for this shot, and it is also for these
same reasons.

I happened to be on the other side of an old wooden fence when I took
this picture, and I wanted to somehow fit it in - to give it more
perspective I guess - but I just couldn't make it work for me.  However
I'm glad that the cow turned its back towards me and looked back at me -
I think it makes the shot a lot more interesting since the cow becomes
more of a subject rather than an object in an otherwise unremarkable
landscape.
