No it isn't. It's done by *sales figures*. (A self-selecting survey of 
the type being done here is completely valueless.) The factory is now 
working 3 shifts to turn out enough K100D cameras to meet demand. And 
there's probably going to be a waiting list fo the K10D for quite a 
while.

They speculated several years ago that they could eliminate the 
aperture simulator and still sell cameras in good numbers. They have 
now deduced - from the success of their current and recent DSLR's - 
that the number of additional sales to be gained from bringing back the 
aperture simulator would be insignificant.
