It was actually drizzle/mist/rain, and it was just like that outside my window. I don't like manipulating things to help a photo. Adding mist would be cheating! That spot is about 8-10 feet off of the ground and I had to shoot through two layers of glass from inside my house (internal window and storm window) to get it. I should have gotten the tripod but instead stood there wobbling and shaking like a drunk (without my glasses on, even!) shooting over and over trying to get the exposure and focus right while at a full zoom and a middling aperture.
