I never use the Sigma without a diffuser of some sort, so the wide angle issue isn't an issue for me. Is the angle of view in 35mm terms or APS-C? I'l have to look at the Sigma docs. In truth AOV shouldn't be stated in terms of lens focal length. Paul
----- Angle of view of an 18 mm lens in APS-C format. I don't have the documentation, since I don't own the flash, but that stuck in my mind as a strike against the flash when it first came out.
