Told my daughter last night. She is a bit disapointed, as she said she  
liked that lens, but is not as devistated as i am.:-)

I sent an inquiry email to Pentax Canada with the story and i'll see  
if they can give a ball park estimate from that. If its around $100 or  
so, it might be worth it. If its $200 or over, then i see a parts lens  
coming up on ebay.:-)

BTW, i downloaded my weekend pic;s last night, and i paid close  
attention to the ones shot after the fall, using the 16-45 and flash.

They seem to be no better or worse than i was getting, so maybe those  
two items are ok.
